<p class="mb-4">Join us for a lecture and conversation on the history of zoning, segregation, housing costs, community, polarization, and the power of place with architect, planner and leading "New Urbanist" thinker Robert Orr, FAIA.</p>

<p class="mb-4">Trained in architecture at Yale, followed by a ten-year apprenticeship with Philip Johnson and then Allan Greenberg, Robert Orr is the principal of Robert Orr & Associates, an architecture and planning firm based in New Haven, Connecticut. He has been a leading thinker and practitioner in the "New Urbanism" movement since its founding 40 years ago. Robert has served as President of the Congress for the New Urbanism — New England Chapter and taught architecture and planning in the graduate architecture program at the University of Hartford. He received his M.Arch. from the Yale School of Art and Architecture and his BA from the University of Vermont. He has lectured on architecture, planning, placemaking and urbanism around the world. Robert lives with his wife in New Haven.</p>

<p class="mb-4">This is our monthly meeting, held on the third Monday of the month.</p>

<p class="mb-4">We start with half an hour of coffee and conversation at 6:30 PM, followed by the main program after brief announcements at 7:00 PM.</p>
