He is an attorney and director of FOSNA, Friends of Sabeel North America. Sabeel is an ecumenical liberation theology center in Jerusalem. He is the co-founder of both the independent Palestinian human rights association Al-Haq and Non-Violence International. He has spoken widely about the role of non-violence in social change, and about his recent book, <span style="font-style: italic;">Beyond the Two-State Solution</span>.
