[Hac-announce] Workshop with Fred Edwords is Canceled

Due to the damage from Sandy, the CT Coalition of Secular Organizations and
the Coalition for Reason have decided to postpone the Workshop event with
Fred Edwords.  We will reschedule it for a date to be determined later.
 Below is a copy of Fred's email confirming the cancelation, and please
note that there may be funds available to assist those who have been hit
particularly hard:


 Please do get a message out to all those who might still contemplate
attending,
let them know it isn't happening and why, and give them our regrets.
This is really an unfortunate development, but the greatest misfortune
is the situation you all face up there in Connecticut.

So let me now bring to your attention another UnitedCoR effort. We are
mobilizing our coalitions to raise funds and distribute needed
materials to those in areas hard-hit by the hurricane. Are there any
people in the Connecticut groups in particular need of assistance?
And, if so, what do they need?

We've already raised funds that we're ready to put to work and I'm in
contact with our coalitions in NYC and New Jersey.
