[Hac-announce] Explorations: Bombing Auschwitz -- February 1, 2:30 p.m.

The liberation of the most notorious of the Nazi death camps happened seventy-five years ago on January 27th, 1945. The PBS documentary we will see addresses an uncomfortable moral question-- Should Allied forces have destroyed the camps early on, dooming the inmates to certain death in order to save the hundreds of thousands who followed. This issue raises no easy answers, and engenders much deep thought worthy of consideration today.
