[Hac-announce] Addressing the Ongoing Food Insecurity in our Community

Dear Friends, 

The USNH Foodbank, managed by HAC member Margaret Ariori, delivers most of what it collects to the Keefe Center on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, where they distribute food to community members. It is also made available to those who may be in need within the congregation and at the daycare center in the building.
They especially need canned fruits and vegetables!
Though need continues over the Summer, donations tend to decrease as a result of decreased attendance at events in the building. 
Please bring a few cans with you if you are coming to attend an HAC event at 700 Hartford Turnpike, including Explorations tomorrow.
All shelf stable donations are greatly appreciated.
