April Monthly Meeting

“REPATRIATION OF CULTURAL PROPERTY:      
        A Social Justice Issue”
Monday, April 18, 6:30 pm coffee, 7 pm program*
Children’s Chapel

We are excited to welcome Dr. Jackie Veninger-Robert as our speaker. Dr. Veninger-Robert is the Repatriation Coordinator and Indigenous Cultural Property Steward with the Connecticut Office of State Archaeology at the University of Connecticut. Before coming to UConn Jackie worked in heritage management for tribal governments and federal agencies. She is a non-voting member of Connecticut’s Native American Heritage Advisory Council. Her research interests include archaeological ethics, heritage management and conflict archaeology.

*We will begin with coffee and snacks at 6:30 pm, outside, on the “patio”, weather permitting. Bring something to share.
Program will start at 7 pm after brief announcements, in the Children’s Chapel.
